Retailers Suggest Opening Parcels from Abroad Such measures are of need to identify counterfeit goods constantly coming to Russia
The Russian Association of Internet Trade Companies (AKIT) wants to offer Russian customs officers to open at least 5 % of incoming parcels with goods.
The statistics cited by the source show that counterfeiting has increased by half over the past year as compared to the last two.
Such measures, according to experts of the Association, are of need to detect counterfeited goods with their subsequent destruction, RIA Novosti reports as referred to Kommersant.
Denis Kosenkov, the firm’s managing partner, gave his review while on air with “News on REN TV” on the issue of opening foreign parcels at post offices.
